theinkhiddenwithinHello everyone! It's gonna be new year day soon and by some miraculous star, I am here proud and happy to announce to you for the 3rd time in a row,
Once again, it's time for us to enjoy more of our favourite gay lawyers on the day dedicated for them on MitsuNaru day!
What is this?
In the simplest terms, it is an exchange where you'll create a work to gift to someone (based on their requests) and you'll receive a gift from another in return (based on your own requests).
Main purpose is the same as last year, to have fun and create more MitsuNaru works for people to enjoy in the fandom! o((*^▽^*))o⊂(•‿•⊂ )*.✧
When will this happen?
The exchange schedule is as listed below; all times at 10.59AM EST unless otherwise stated:-
- Tag Nominations Open: 11th January
- Tag Nominations Close: 18th January
- Sign ups Open: 18th January 12.59PM EST
- Sign ups Close: 25th January
- Assignments release: 26th January
- Assignment Deadline: 28th February
- Works Reveal : 7th March (MitsuNaru Day! ❤️💙)
- Creators Reveal: 14th March
How does it work?
There are 5 stages to the exchange:-
1. Tag Nominations - Where you get to choose and nominate your favourite AO3 tags/prompts to be included in the exchange, an important stage that'll help in choosing the tags/prompts you wish to see/receive/gift during the exchangeSome rules to take note:-
- Feel free to include relationship tags that are not MitsuNaru, '/' for romantic or sexual, and '&' for platonic
- However, it should go without saying that your works should have mitsunaru as the main pairing
- For solo characters, do include them under the relationship tags in the format 'Solo: [Character Name]'
- Example: Solo: Klavier Gavin
- For Additional Tags, enter topics, tropes, scenarios, or anything you’d like to request or offer.
- Example:-
- AU - Coffee Shop
- First Kiss
- Scenario - Trapped in an elevator
- Example:-
2. Sign-ups - Where you sign-up on the AO3 exchange with a valid AO3 account, an important stage where you'll input your requests of the gift you would like to receive and offers on what you would like to write/draw for someone
Some rules to take note:-
- You must sign up with at least 1 request and 1 offer, up to 10, with four additional tags
- There is no rule that requests and offers must be explicit or smutty - feel free to ask for soft and fluffy love story if that's what you want to receive or create! Anything from G to E rated can be requested/offered. But do take note that just opting for E-rated works in your request/offer will be first assumed that you are okay with works of rating from G up to E, unless otherwise stated clearly in the Description box.
- Example: If you choose the E rating with a request that 'I want Miles and Phoenix to go on a holiday trip', you might receive a T-rated fic/art about Miles and Phoenix going on a holiday trip as a couple with no smut scenes, depending on your creator. In this case, if you only want the smut, you'll have to indicate more specifically in the description 'I want MitsuNaru plane sex when Miles and Phoenix go on a holiday trip'
- List down any Do Not Wants (DNWs) clearly in the Description box, although try not to be overly restrictive and word them neutrally without implying any (kink) shame
- An important note here on creating works with Narumitsu/Top Phoenix Wright: Yes, I welcome Narumitsu/Top Phoenix Wright in this exchange. Nevertheless, I'll appreciate it if you would be kind enough to include that you're okay with Narumitsu/Switch dynamics in your requests/offers, otherwise no indication of any dynamics at all will be strictly assumed bottom Phoenix only.
3. Assignments Release/Creation period - where assignments are allocated and then you'll proceed to write or draw for your assignment and submit to the exchange collection. Be aware of the deadline though!
Some rules to take note:-
- Fics: minimum 500 words
- Arts: minimum of a clean sketch on unlined paper
- No minimum requirement for treats!
- If you see multiple requests from your recipient, do not panic! Because you will only need to submit 1 completed work based on any one of the requests
- Please respect your recipient's request, especially on the requested rating and any DNWs! In addition, for cases where your request has multiple prompts/tags, you don't have to include all of them, just one or a few of them is good enough
- An important note here on creating works with Narumitsu/Top Phoenix Wright: As I have mentioned, yes, I welcome Narumitsu/Top Phoenix Wright in this exchange. However, please do follow your recipient's DNWs and/or preference if their preferred dynamics have been stated clearly in their requests. If no preference was stated, it should be strictly assumed to be MitsuNaru which is Top Miles Edgeworth & Bottom Phoenix Wright only
- If you have any questions on your assignment, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, under any circumstances, approach your recipient directly! Any questions, do go through me through email (theinkhiddenwith@outlook.com) or Discord (theinkhiddenwithin)
- Don't worry if you were to ever need an extension, just inform me through email or Discord and request for it! (You won't be punished! I promise!)
- Don't worry if you wish to default if you realise you can't complete your assignment in time for the work reveals, but it would greatly help if you can inform as soon as you can so that I can release it as a pinch hit with enough time for the deadline. And not to worry, you will not be judged and revealed :)

4. Works Reveal - Don't panic if you were to see your works are not posted on AO3 when submitted! They're not gone! They're just hidden till the works are revealed on the day of works reveal for everyone to enjoy all the amazing works together!
Some rules to take note:-
- It is not a hard rule that I will enforce, but I strongly encourage everyone to comment on your gift during the work reveals period. And it doesn't matter how long your comment is - a little appreciation goes a long way ( ◜‿◝ )♡
5. Creators Reveal - and finally, it's the day where you know who was your awesome creator of your gift! You might be in for a surprise! (*＾3＾)/～♡
Some rules to take note:-
- Please maintain anonymity in any public/semi-public spaces before the creators reveal. Don't spoil the surprise! (ಠ_ಠ)>⌐■-■ (⌐■-■)
